Turns out the rise of a New York City restaurant which quickly was set out to turn into a franchise establishment vastly became a too good to be true scam. Now I’ve tried the food (specifically the lobster mac n’ cheese) which wasn’t all bad…the flavor had potential but the lobster was under cooked and for the price of the bowl it should’ve came with more lobster (it was half a petite tail amount). The CEO Rodney Bonds & Former COO Edward Williams of BK Lobster has been targeting black women entrepreneurs by pitching them false dreams. The two masterminds are being blasted for allegedly stealing money as much as $300,000 some investors say, also saying Bonds & Williams has presented the BK Lobster investors with illegitimate contracts & fabricated business actives. Mr.Bonds claims that he hasn’t scammed anyone and he’s unaware of certain laws for the franchise industry in the states of New York City and is trying to make things right. The attorney general of New York City office has since started investigating.
More to come as the case continues…
