Rosa Negra Restaurant let me down, I found out about the restaurant through a YouTuber visiting their Tulum location which she mentioned was good food, service, and a beautiful view but didn’t have the light(fire) show as their Cancun location so opened TikTok and was searching up Cancun solo woc trips as I travel alone… anywho I kept stumbling upon a bunch of video’s mention Rosa Negra & their infamous “light show” so I looked into reviews and only really saw one bad one & one mixed review and then found their other restaurants they own which almost the same vibe. I went with Rosa Negra because it was closer to my hotel & the most talked about “light show” and I tell you this… The food was mid, it wasn’t nasty but it wasn’t the best I’ve had to be honest I’ve had better tasting Latin American cuisine in the states. I had the mini skirt steak tacos (8 pieces) & a Lychee martini which somehow costed 73$ … the “light show” was the staff waving around sparklers, yes the ones used to bring out champagne bottles in the club or put in cakes which was kind of a let down seeing Rosa Negra Instagram reels & post showing professionals breathing fire & dancing with it. The restaurant itself however is beautiful & offers an amazing waterfront view with their own lit up “Rosa Negra” sign
